Ses Salines is a small town found on the south east of Mallorca, one of the least developed sections of the island. It is a small town, close to Santanyí, another Suite D.O. location, and like Santanyí, offers easy proximity to some places of outstanding natural beauty. The Cabrera National Park, for example, is a ferry journey away, and is made up of 19 small islands covering 1,318 hectares on land. Just outside of Ses Salines, on the road to Santanyí, is Botanicactus, one of Europe's largest botanical gardens. A popular walk covering 8km starts at Cala s'Almunia and finishes at the Cap de Ses Salines. The walk takes around three hours and passes through cliffs, unlike other walks, which overlook and cross the islands many sandy beaches and coves. Natural Parkland
Almost 40% of Mallorca is protected countryside with 49 designated natural areas, including Es Trenc-Salobrar Natural Area, Cabrera Island Natural Park, Cala Modragó and the area from s'Almunia to Cap de Ses Salines, which all are situated in the south east of Mallorca.
Es Trenc-Salobrar Natural Area: is situated in the municipality of Campos. Comprising 1,500 hectares, the area includes Es Trenc beach, locally recognised as one of the best on the island, with 7 miles of beach with shallow water, a restaurant, a bar, plus a supply of beach beds and
parasols. The area also includes the dunes parallel with the coast and salt tanks and cultivated areas nearby. 10 minutes away.
Beaches
Unlike other beaches in Majorca, the beaches on the south east are hidden away from mass tourism and some of them are completely virgin. Owners of suites in Ses Salines have exclusive rights to access some of these beaches by car, others will need to go by boat.

Golf and other sports
Mallorca is a beautiful and diverse island which is very popular amongst the UK holiday makers, not only for golf, but also for cycling, horse riding, tennis, diving, fishing, surfing, windsurfing, or just relaxing.
The climate makes Mallorca ideal for golfers, and although it does get chillier during the winter months it is still suitable for golf. There are 11 recognised Golf courses in Mallorca and many centres and academies that specialise in the teaching of Golf. You find 2 of them in the south east close to the suites.
