Rural Mallorca at its Best
Campos, in the south east of Mallorca, is a small, unspoiled, traditional town with a population of 4,000. A 25-minute drive from Palma and 20 minutes from the airport, the landscape of the south east is flat and agricultural with lots of cyclists taking advantage of the country lanes linking the area's undisturbed towns and villages. The south east is also home to the island's best beaches, with bone-white sand, turquoise sparkling sea and pretty coves. Many of these beaches are backed by nature reserves: Es Trenc, for example, an easy 10-minute drive from Campos, spans 1,5000 hectares, including a beach, arguably the best in Mallorca, protected land and sand dunes. Also close to the suites are two good golf courses and some excellent restaurants, galleries and clothes shops in and around Campos. "We chose Campos as it's a traditional town where life is quiet, but close to shops and culture if required, and it's close to some of the most beautiful spots in Mallorca. There are 49 protected parks in this region of South East Majorca alone," says Rafael Danes, CEO of the company and born in the island.

Natural Parkland
Almost 40% of Mallorca is protected countryside with 49 designated natural areas, including Es Trenc-Salobrar Natural Area, Cabrera Island Natural Park, Cala Modrago and the area from s'Almunia to Cap de ses Salines, which all are situated in the south east of Mallorca.
Es Trenc-Salobrar Natural Area: is situated in the municipality of Campos. Comprising 1,500 hectares, the area includes Es Trenc beach, locally recognised as one of the best on the island, with 7 miles of beach with shallow water, a restaurant, a bar, plus a supply of beach beds and parasols. The area also includes the dunes parallel with the coast and salt tanks and cultivated areas nearby. 10 minutes away.

Unlike other beaches in Majorca, the beaches on the south east are hidden away from mass tourism and some of them are completely unspoiled. Some of them are only accessable by boat, while others by care or bike:

Mallorca is a beautiful and diverse island which is very popular amongst the UK holiday makers, not only for golf, but also for cycling, horse riding, tennis, diving, fishing, surfing, windsurfing, or just relaxing.
The climate makes Mallorca ideal for golfers, and although it does get chillier during the winter months it is still suitable for golf. There are 11 recognised Golf courses in Mallorca and many centres and academies that specialise in the teaching of Golf. You find 2 of them in the south east close to the suites.
